Peabody Energy (BTU)- There was a rollout from 24,000+ Jan 2016 $1.50 puts ($0.64-$0.65 credit) into 40,000+ Jan 2016 $1 puts ($0.34 debit). Earnings out on July 28th. Yesterday, fellow coal miner, Arch Coal, announced a 1 for 10 reverse stock split (not a good sign). BTU, a stock trading at $1 and change, is expected to lose $2 per share this year.
Energy Transfer Equity (ETE)- 5,000 Jan 2016 $65 calls were bought for $3.10, against open interest of 6,644 contracts. There was sizable buying in these yesterday too. ETE wants to acquire Williams Companies (current offer is $48B), but they aren’t going for it yet.

AA- Alcoa is set to announce Q1 earnings after the bell tonight. Analysts are looking for $0.05 in EPS and revenue of $5.6 billion. Option traders are pricing in a $0.65 move, or 5.18%, in either direction through Friday’s close. The put to call ratio in (AA) options is currently 1.01, led by a seller of 1,000 Sep. $13 straddles for a $2.20 credit and a buyer of 1,000 Apr. 11 weekly $13 calls for $0.20 each. The stock has dropped on five out of the last seven earnings reports.
AER- A rollout from 1,760 Apr. $35 calls (credit) into 1,760 May $40 calls (debit). Volume was above the open interest in the May $40 calls. Earnings are due out on 5/7.

CAT- Caterpillar will report Q4 earnings before the bell on Monday morning. Analysts are looking for $1.29 in EPS and revenue of $13.6 billion. Option traders are pricing in a $3.22 move, or 3.74%, in either direction through next Friday’s close. The put to call ratio in (CAT) options is currently 1.30.
MTOR- The Aug. $7/$10/$13 bull call spread risk reversal was put on 10k times for a $0.55 debit. Volume was above the open interest in all three options. Earnings are due out on 1/29.
TSM- 10,000 July $17.50 puts were purchased for $1.45 each, against open interest of 1,996 contracts.
XLF- Over 60k Apr. $19 puts were bought for $0.15-$0.19 each, against open interest of 4,463 contracts.
