Pinnacle Foods (NYSE:PF) – 1,300+ Feb 17 2017 $57.50 calls traded with the majority being bought for $0.55. Last January, Pinnacle acquired the health food company, Boulder Brands, for $975M. The deal has not just contributed to top line results, but is likely to add $0.08-$0.10 per share to FY 2016 earnings.

The data is the beginning of my nightly research for my own personal trading and acts as a rough draft for my weekly unusual options activity posts for SeeItMarket.com. For the most part I typically won’t make note of many ETF/index trades, stock replacements, and shorter-dated activity that I feel has already played out or now offers unfavorable odds. The market correction has taken several stocks down with it. And, to be fair, it may still take down the last one’s standing.
That said, I’ve been looking at several stocks, both technicals and fundamentals, and I came up with a short list of stocks that have been showing strength during the current stock market correction.
