- ARO- Large buying in the Aug $3.50 and Jan 2015 $3 calls this morning. Volume was above the open interest in both options. The call to put ratio was 5:1. Call activity is 12x the average daily volume. Implied volatility rose 15.9% to 73.78. The stock is trying to breakout above the $3.50 resistance level (also the 50-day EMA). Earnings are due out on 8/21. Hummingbird LLC (Sycamore Fund) disclosed a 7.96% stake in the company last year.
- ARRY- 3,000 Dec $5 calls were purchased for $0.35 each, against open interest of 490 contracts. Array Biopharma reported Q2 EPS of -$0.22 vs the -$0.23 estimate and revenue of $6M vs the $8.17M estimate this morning. The call to put ratio is 159:1. Call activity is 24x the average daily volume.
- GLPI- A rollout from 5,500 Aug $35 calls (credit) into 5,500 Oct $55 calls (debit). Volume was above the open interest in the Oct $35 calls.
- KING- 2,000 Aug $19 calls were purchased for $0.90 each, against open interest of 5,643 contracts. Earnings are due out tonight. The stock dropped $2.51 the day after earnings on their 1st report back in May. The stock is trading just above support at the $18 level. The options market is pricing in a $1.45 move this week.
- SLV- 15,000 Dec $20 calls were bought for $0.67 each, against open interest of 1,401 contracts. The silver ETF was nearing a breakout above the 1 month downtrend line earlier today (a close above $19.35 would confirm it).
