1st Down January Since 2010
All three major U.S. indices finished January in negative territory this year. For the week the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) dropped 1.14%. The S&P 500 (SPX) and the Nasdaq-100 (NDX) shed 0.43% and 0.55%, respectively. Volatility (VIX) inched higher this week, following last week’s 45.82% rally. The spot Volatility Index added 1.49% to close the week at 18.41.
