Strong Start To September
Following a disappointing August, equities bounced back in the first week of September. The Nasdaq 100 (NDX) was the best performer of the three major U.S. indices, rising 1.94% for the week. The S&P 500 (SPX) added 1.36% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) picked up 0.76%. Volatility (VIX) came in 6.82%, giving back some of last week’s double digit pop.
