XLP- Over 255,000 calls have traded vs an average of 6,466 calls. Investors are buying in-the-money Mar. calls ahead of tomorrow’s option expiration.
- AAPL- As shares of Apple are up about 1%, the call/put ratio in the Mar. options is only 1.16. The Mar. $430 puts and Mar. $435 calls account for over half of the volume, as traders take a cheap bet on tomorrow’s move.
- AET- A rollout from the Apr. $47 puts into the Apr. $50 puts for a $0.63 debit. Volume was lower than the open interest in the Apr. $50 puts, but higher in the $47 puts.
- SPY- Yesterday we saw large call buying in the Mar. $156 calls. Those same calls are leading the action in the S&P 500 ETF, with volume nearing 90k contracts.
- KKD- Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is set to announce Q4 earnings after the bell, as analyst are looking for $0.12 in EPS and revenue of $116 million. The Apr. $13 puts have traded over 2100 times, with the largest block going for $0.35.
